Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy is an independent Roman Catholic school formed under the guidance of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn and chartered by the New York State Board of Regents. The Academy was established in September 2009 in Douglaston in the building which formerly housed the St. Anastasia Parish School for over 80 years. The Academy is committed to building on the best traditions and standards at Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy.
The enrollment of the Academy is approximately 355 students in two classes on each grade level from Kindergarten to Grade 8 and two 3K and Pre-K for All classes. The educational program is aligned with Next Generation Standards and focuses on developing the whole child- spiritually, socially and emotionally, physically and academically through a well rounded program that incorporates the Arts, Spanish, Physical Education and Technology beginning in Kindergarten. After school care and enrichment activities supplement the students’ education by providing opportunities designed to enable them to explore their interests.
At Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy, every gift makes a difference. Your support helps us provide an excellent Catholic education rooted in faith, academic achievement, and community. Together, we can nurture the next generation of leaders, grounded in compassion, service, and wisdom.
